Holocaust Restitution Organization Seeks Heirs

4-17-2011 - Many European Jews invested in Israeli banks and bought real estate in Israel prior to World War II. Most of the owners of these assets died in the Holocaust, and those funds remain unclaimed. The Holocaust Restitution Agency of the State of Israel, established in 2006,  administers over 60,000 unclaimed assets. The agency is seeking the legal heirs of those assets. A list of names of the original purchasers and instructions for documenting a claim are available at the Agency's website. You may also call 800-475-1049 for more information.
